How do you use it · Each East of England’s Sustainable Development Framework’s objective is identified on the left side of the screen. Clicking on the objective will move you to a screen that asks you whether your initiative will meet the objective. · You are given a number of standard answers to choose from for each question, ranging from a significant positive to a significant negative impact, and including “not relevant” and “not known” · Your answer will change the colour of an indicator for each of the objectives. · Background information is presented above the question to help you decide your answer. · Buttons will take you to screens that give more detailed information; links to policy documents; and examples of best practice. · A box allows you to enter a justification for your answer. Your answer may be qualitative or supported by quantitative information. · A list of relevant supplementary questions you may need to address is listed below each question. Clicking on a supplementary question takes you to a similar screen to help you answer the supplementary question. · Your answers to supplementary questions are presented in a colour-coded summary in a similar way to the main objectives. · Depending on your answer to specific questions, further questions in the same or different objectives may become recommended. · There is also a button to access a map in its own window that shows all the questions, which you have answered, and the answer you have given. Clicking on a question in the map takes you to the screen for that question. · Your output from using the toolkit can range from a printout of the recommended questions and additional questions you have answered, their answers and your detailed justifications, to a summary using colour or symbols suitable for printing. |
